- 1 1/2 oz light rum
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 1/2 cupsboiling water
- 4 oz vodka
- 1/4 tsp maraschino syrup
- 1 oz lime juice

Make Kiwano Liqueur by dissolving 12 cup sugar in 2 12 cups boiling water

Mash the fruit of one ripe kiwano and add to the sugar water

Continue to boil for 3-5 minutes

Add 4 oz good vodka and allow to cool completely

Using 3 oz of the Kiwano liqueur mix ingredients over ice in collins glass for this cocktail.

Garnish with maraschino cherry and lime wedge
