Part coffee, part cocktail, part dessert. This drink is now almond-flavored coffee. This is a wonderful, Italian variation of Irish Coffee.
This is a great cocktail for a crisp fall day or any winter day, especially one where the snow is falling.
Whether you have a campfire, a fire pit, a roaring fireplace, or nothing at all, this drink will certainly warm you up!
Cafe Amaretto
Ingredients: 1 oz amaretto almond liqueur, 1/2 oz cognac, 4 - 6 oz coffee, 1/2 - 1 oz whipped cream
Ingredients
- 1 oz amaretto almond liqueur
- 1/2 oz cognac
- 4 - 6 oz coffee
- 1/2 - 1 oz whipped cream
Instructions
Fill a mug almost full with hot coffee.
Add the amaretto and stir well.
Layer cognac on top.
Add a puff of whipped cream.
Notes
Amaretto is an almond liqueur that originates from Italy. It tastes both sweet and bitter (amaretto means in Italian “little bitter”).
